Shieldwall Dance Company is a modern dance company based in Los Angeles, California dedicated to human complexity presented in the poetry of dance. Shieldwall performs a repertory of 10-13 minute dances that present many different thoughts, colors, dynamics, sounds, and human experiences.
Founder Sean Greene believes that dances must be performed repeatedly with the same cast as much as possible in order to reach their full potential. In doing so, the dancers’ artistry deepens and expands, allowing the piece a chance to reach its fullest expression in an art form that must be absorbed in one viewing.
